COVID 19 Resources

Brush and Bag Pickup Postponed Due to COVID-19:

Due to recent clarification regarding the Governor's Stay Home. Stay Safe. order, the City must postpone brush and bag pickup until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The City's DPW and Utilities staff will be handling essential business and emergencies only.

Reminder: The burning of leaves, brush, yard waste (ect.) in the City limits is PROHIBITED!!! In addition to local ordinance, the State has issued a statewide ban on open burning until further notice.

Stay Home. Stay Safe. Save Lives Order:
Governor Whitmer has issued Executive Order 2020-21 Stay-Home, Stay-Safe. Effective March 24, 2020 at 12:01 am, and continues through April 13, 2020 at 11:59 pm.


Effective March 17, 2020, The City of Bronson City Hall will be closed until further notice in order to protect the public & City employees from the spread of COVID-19. For water bill payments; please mail or place payment in the drop box located on the southeast side of the building (in a sealed envelope with the address, account number, or payment stub). Staff is available by phone or email during normal business hours to conduct business.

2020 Trash & Recycling Schedule:

The schedule for Republic Trash & Recycling in the City of Bronson is now available. Hard-copies of the calendar are also available at City Hall. 

Adopt-a-Truck Reminder:

Attention City Residents:

 Adopt-A-Truck Program- If you have a lot of brush, leaves, old bushes, or other natural materials, you can request a truck through our Adopt-A-Truck program. Stop by City Hall, fill out the adopt-a-truck form, and at no charge, we will park a city dump truck (small or large) at your house and we will haul it away for you! Bulk Item Pickup Day Change & Reminders:

The City's bulk item pickup day will now be on every other Thursday instead of every other Monday. The next bulk item pickup day will be Thursday, March 28th.

If you have a bulk item you would like picked up by Republic Services, please call City Hall at 517-369-7334 to arrange for a pickup. Please do not place it at the curb without contacting the City offices first or it will not be picked up.

The pricing is as follows:
Furniture: $15.00 per item
Mattress or Box Spring: $15.00 per item 
Appliances (Washer/Dryer/Refrigerator): $25.00* 
*Any FREON must be removed

                        Report Streetlight Problems:

Did you know that you can report a streetlight issue directly to Consumers Energy? Once you file a report you can also check on the status of the repair on their website at the same link provided below. You can also report it to the City offices at 517-369-7334.
