Brandon M. Mersman was appointed as Bronson's City Manager in July of 2015. The City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the City, appointed by the City Council. The City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the City, provides overall direction to and is responsible for the management, staffing, administration and operation of all City Departments. It is the duty of the City Manager to provide reports to the Council in regard to ongoing activities within the City as well as evaluating services and making recommendations for the improvement of operations. The City Manager also provides an annual recommendation for the City's budget. The City Manager also serves as the Planning/Zoning Administrator.
Originally from Holland, Michigan, Brandon holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Hope College in Holland, Michigan where he majored in Political Science and Psychology.
