The City of Bronson, in Branch County, Michigan, is seeking a full-time Police Officer for a community of approximately 2,400 residents.  The Bronson Police Department consists of a Chief, a Deputy Chief, two full time patrol officers, and several part time officers.  The Bronson Police Department operates 24hrs a day with officers working 12hr shifts.   Preference is given to those with at least an Associate Degree in a related field or previous road patrol experience.   Pay scale starting at $33,000 topping out at $45,000 within 3 yrs, Blue Cross Blue Shield medical coverage, MERS defined benefit retirement pension, paid vacation along with additional competitive benefits.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license, with a driving record free of suspension, revocation, and moving violations for the previous two years.
  • No felony arrests or convictions.
  • Submit to pre-employment medical exam, drug screen and background investigation
  • MCOLES Certified or Certifiable at time of application.
